The Colorful Colorado kit is a tribute to our legacy, our sport and the state we call home. This season, we are excited to announce that — together with UCHealth — we'll be donating 10,000 soccer balls over the next two years to Colorado youth as part of our mission to dismantle barriers and level the playing field for youth access.

To kick off our initiative, we're delivering soccer balls and hosting clinics at five locations across the state in February:

  • VISA Street Soccer Pitch at Skyline Park | Downtown Denver
  • Boys & Girls Club of Weld County Monfort Clubhouse | Greeley, CO
  • Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs | Steamboat Springs, CO
  • Fruitvale Elementary School | Grand Junction, CO
  • Boys & Girls Club of Pueblo County East Side Clubhouse | Pueblo, CO

This initiative was born from a simple truth — in soccer, you only need a ball to play. According to the Aspen Institute Project Play: State of Play report, children who own their own equipment are 40% more likely to engage in daily physical activity compared to those who rely on school-provided gear.

By giving out 10,000 soccer balls, we are tackling the activity deficit head-on with an immediate, no-cost invitation to play. We are removing a primary barrier to entry for sport and giving every kid access to a healthy lifestyle.

With 10,000 soccer balls donated over the next two years, any sidewalk, park and backyard in Colorado’s communities can become a classroom for wellness and the beginning of a lifelong habit of movement — healthier kids become healthier adults. The club and UCHealth will continue to proudly partner with nonprofit organizations and schools across the state to accomplish our mission of increasing youth access, growing the game and creating a healthier Colorado.
