Colorado Rapids acquire San Jose third-round pick in 2025 SuperDraft in exchange for rights to goalkeeper William Yarbrough

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. ā€”ā€ÆThe Colorado Rapids announced today the club has acquired San Jose Earthquakes natural third-round pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the rights to goalkeeper William Yarbrough.

ā€œWeā€™d like to thank Will for his contributions on and off of the field during his time at the club,ā€ said Colorado Rapids President PĆ”draig Smith. ā€œWe wish him all the best in the future.ā€

Yarbrough departs as the clubā€™s record-holder for the most shutouts in club history (33), ranking third in appearances (101), starts (101), minutes played in goal (9,044), wins (37) and saves (318) -- all are in the regular season.

The Aguascalientes, Mexico native originally joined the Rapids in March 2020 on a one-year loan from Liga MX club LeĆ³n before signing a three-year contract with the Rapids in February 2021.
