Daniel Nestor
Academic Advisor
Daniel Nestor joined the Colorado Rapids Academy in August of 2020 and serves as the Academic Advisor for the Audi Online School Program. Daniel is responsible for overseeing the academic programming for MLS Next Academy players enrolled in the distance-learning platform that operates from Dick’s Sporting Good Park Stadium on a full-time basis.
Prior to joining the Rapids Academy, Daniel served as a Director of Coaching at CRYSC and has coached numerous teams spanning over 10 plus years with the club, earning ‘Coach of the Year’ in 2018 and 2022. From 2009-2017, Daniel worked for Denver Public Schools with roles primarily focused on Academic and Behavioral Interventions and more recently, in Special Education supporting students with differing abilities.
Daniel holds a USSF ‘B’ license and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Regis University, and is currently pursuing his M.A. in Counseling. When Daniel is not on the fields or in the classroom, he enjoys traveling, music festivals, mountain getaways, and spending valuable time with family and friends.
