Chris Little
First Assistant Coach
Chris Little serves the club as the First Assistant Coach. He joined the club in 2021 and helped the club win the 2021 Western Conference Regular Season with a club record 61 points. Little holds the U.S. Soccer Pro Coaching License and the Fédération Française de Football Formation License.
Little joined the club from the Seattle Sounders where they had been MLS Cup Winners in 2019 and MLS Cup Finalists in 2017 and 2020. Little served as head coach of the Seattle Sounders second team the Tacoma Defiance of the USL Championship, as well as Director of Coaching for the Seattle Sounders FC Academy. Little coached Sounders U17 to US Soccer National Championship in 2017-2018 and the Generation adidas Cup Winners 2018 and was also named Academy West Coach of the Year. The Sounders Academy became the 1st MLS Club to win the prestigious Generation adidas Champions Division in 2019. Over 1/3 of the current Seattle Sounders roster is now from the academy.
Prior to joining Seattle in 2017, the Edinburgh, Scotland, native, was head coach of NCAA Division 1 Elon University. During his time at Elon, they won 5 conference Championships and made 4 NCAA Tournament appearances. Little previously served as the State Director of Coaching and Player Development for the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association where they won their first ODP National Championships in 2006 and 2007.
