Colorado Rapids midfielder Cole Bassett has earned a Team of the Matchday honor for his one goal, one assist showing against St. Louis CITY SC on Sunday night. It's his fourth Team of the Matchday honor of the season. The two goal contributions raised his total on the season to 11 (7g, 4a), a new single-season career high for the Homegrown.

Bassett helped start the scoring early at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park when he connected with striker Kévin Cabral in the sixth minute. In a quick box-to-box transition, Rafael Navarro connected with Bassett downfield to send the midfielder and Cabral sprinting into St. Louis' third, where Bassett laid the ball off to Cabral for the finish.

Bassett struck again in the 35th minute when Cabral repaid the favor with an assist of his own after receiving a long ball over the St. Louis defense from Omir Fernandez. The Frechman drove to the touchline before laying a pass off to Bassett's run into the 18-yard-box, where the midfielder was ready to finish off the far-post goal, his seventh of the season, a new single-season career high.
