Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced today that midfielder Jared Watts underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum. He will miss the team’s 2017 season finale in Seattle on Saturday; however, barring any further issues is expected to be fully recovered by the start of the team’s 2018 pre-season training.
Watts has appeared in 20 regular season games for the Rapids in 2017, featuring as both a defensive midfielder and center back when called upon. In all, the 25-year-old Wake Forest graduate has made 71 appearances since being selected by the Rapids with the 33rd pick of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
