Colorado Rapids recognize Pride Month during match against LA Galaxy

Pride Recognition

On Wednesday, June 21, the Colorado Rapids will stand should-to-shoulder with our community, fans and our state to celebrate Pride Month during our match against LA Galaxy. As an organization, we pride ourselves on encouraging a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all of our fans at every match, regardless of their backgrounds and beliefs.

To give back, fans can purchase a ticket package that includes a south-east corner seat, a limited-edition Pride scarf and a donation to GLBT Community Center of Colorado, a non-profit that is focused on fulfilling their mission to engage, empower, enrich, and advance the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community of Colorado. To commemorate the memorable night, limited-edition Pride scarves can also be purchased in the team store.

Colorado Rapids players are also getting involved in the celebration. On June 21, the Captain will be donning a special rainbow flag armband during the match. Signed replica armbands will be given away via Rapids Prize Zone following the match.

In addition, defender Eric Miller has joined the Playing for Pride program to show support for our community. By participating in this initiative, Eric has agreed to donate $2 per game played, $3 per start, $4 per assist, and $5 per goal throughout the 2017 season. Don’t miss his appearance on this week’s Rapids Podcast, along with Austin da Luz, player and founder of Playing for Pride, as well as his in-game testimonial on the jumbotron against the Galaxy.
