COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Colorado Rapids have waived forward Dantouma Toure, the club announced today.
Toure, 18, signed with the Rapids as a Homegrown Player in March 2021 after the club acquired his Homegrown Priority from the New York Red Bulls. The forward made six appearances across all competitions and scored a goal for the Rapids during his time at the club. Toure also tallied eight goals and two assists in 15 appearances for Colorado Rapids 2 in MLS NEXT Pro.
A native of Conakry, Guinea, Toure made his professional debut with the USL Championship side New York Red Bulls II in 2020, scoring three goals in 13 appearances with the club before joining the Rapids. He previously represented the United States at the U-16 and U-17 youth national team levels.
