The Respiratory Team from the Medical Center of Aurora was nominated by the Directory of Respiratory Care, Andrew Waugh.
"What keeps us motivated is knowing how much a positive impact our team is making to our patients," Waugh said. "We are beating the national average in successfully getting COVID positive patients off of ventilators because we are dedicated to what we do as respiratory care practitioners. Watching patients discharge home to be with their family inspires us to continue the incredible work we are doing. This is by far the biggest challenge we have ever faced. We ask that you continue to support us by taking precautions for yourself and those around you.”
