Colorado Rapids defender Davy Armstrong has been on loan with Phoenix FC since July 31, having joined the USL Pro team with three games remaining. The short stint is nearing its end, with Armstrong and Phoenix set to close out their inaugural season in the USL Pro division on Friday against Rochester.
Armstrong made his Wolves debut on the same day the loan finalized, going 64 minutes in Phoenix's 3-1 home loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders. He also played against the Charleston Battery two days later, a match which Charleston won 1-0.
Phoenix FC (5-13-7) will end their season August 16th at 7:30 p.m. against the Rochester Rhinos (5-9-10) at Reach 11 Sports Complex. Both teams are out of playoff contention, but a victory for Phoenix will put them even with Rochester in the USL Pro standings. Friday's match will be streamed live at USLNation.com.
