COMMERCE CITY, Colo. —The Colorado Rapids announced today that DICK’S Sporting Goods Park will begin operating at full capacity for games—with some exceptions due to MLS safety restrictions around specific seating areas—starting with the club’s home match against Seattle Sounders FC on July 4.
“We’re delighted to finally welcome our fans back to a full capacity DICK’S Sporting Goods Park,” said Pádraig Smith, Rapids Executive VP & General Manager. “It’s a moment we’ve eagerly anticipated since games were suspended last year and we couldn’t be more thankful to our local health authorities for their tireless efforts in helping us reach this milestone and to our fans for their patience and continued support as we worked to re-open the stadium in a safe manner. I know I speak for everyone at the club when I say we can’t wait to experience the atmosphere of a full stadium with our supporters on July 4.”
Health and safety protocols will remain in place for all Rapids matches, including hand sanitization stands placed throughout the building, strict cleaning and sanitation implemented before, during and after events and DICK’S Sporting Goods Park will remain a cash-free venue. The club will also continue to operate in accordance with MLS medical guidelines.
Upon returning to full capacity, Season Ticket Members will return to their membership seating locations, pending existing MLS seating rules and guidelines. Season Ticket Members will receive additional ticketing information via email by the end of next week. Single-game tickets for the remaining 13 home games this season, including the 4th of July match, will go on sale on Friday, June 4. Fans can sign up for the Single Game Ticket Priority List to receive presale access to single game tickets.
