ESPN announced on Wednesday its plans to cover next week's highly anticipated clash between the US national team and Mexico in a way that will surely please soccer fans in ever corner of the United States.
The Worldwide Leader boasts of more than 220 credentialed personnel that will help bring to viewers on Sept. 10 a special 90-minute episode of ESPN FC (5:30 pm ET) live from Crew Stadium, which will lead up to the actual pregame show (7 pm ET), which will, of course, lead up to the actual game.
This Sunday before Tuesday's game will also mark the return of award-winning ESPN journalist Jeremy Schaap to the USMNT beat, where he will from that point forward cover the team through next summer's World Cup in Brazil. Schaap and John Sutcliffe will begin previewing the game from both sides during Sunday editions of SportsCenter.
For those choosing to watch the game via ESPN's online streaming service, ESPN3, a variety of different camera options will be available to viewers, including the "Goal Line Cam," which will apparently be spun 180 degrees around from the field of play and focused on the supporters section, which will be made up by a record-setting 9,000 rabid supporters, behind the goal.

From 9 am to 5 pm, ESPN Classic will air the last three US men’s national team wins over Mexico in Columbus, all 2-0 victories in FIFA World Cup qualifying contests (Feb. 28, 2001; Sept. 4, 2005, and Feb. 11, 2009). The marathon will include the 0-0 tie at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on March 26, 2013.
