The Cabo Frio, Brazil, native has accumulated 29 goal contributions over his professional career, including the 11 goals and four assists for Palmeiras since signing with the Sao Paulo side in 2022. While the young striker's standout season was undoubtedly in 2021 when he scored 15 goals, the third-most in Serie B that year, his performances with "Verdão" are not to be ignored. A perfect example? His four goals in 30 minutes during a Copa Liberartores 8-1 victory over Independiente Petrolero.
Of National Interest
On the international level, the striker appeared for the Brazilian U-15 team in 2017, where he made three appearances. He joins Cole Bassett, Darren Yapi and Moïse Bombito as Rapids under 25 with international appearances under their belts.
Securing the Silverware
Navarro has already brought home the hardware a few times in his young career, earning championship titles with both Palmeiras and Botafogo in the top-two flights of Brazilian club soccer. In 2021, the 23-year-old led Botafogo to their first Campeonato Braliserio title since 2015 when he scored the third-most goals in the league, propelling Botafogo to a Serie A promotion after the club had been relegated to Serie B a year prior.
Once with Palmeiras, Navarro contributed to the 2022 league title, as well as the 2022 Recopa Sudamericana.
Designed to Produce
Navarro joins the Rapids as a Designated Player, one of three on the Rapids' roster, joining Andreas Maxsø and fellow striker Kévin Cabral. Major League Soccer Designated Player rules allow salary and transfer fees to exceed the maximum Salary Budget Charge and up to three spots on each roster.
