The Colorado Rapids have earned three spots on the MLS Team of the Week, following their biggest win over the San Jose Earthquakes since 2002.
Marlon Hairston played at right back, a position not unfamiliar but one which he has not played since the start of 2015. Hairston's defense helped the Rapids earn a clean sheet and its 250th regular season win.
On the attacking side, Shkëlzen Gashi (2) and Dominique Badji were among the goals in a 3-0 win over the Quakes. Gashi put the Rapids on the board in the 29th minute when he converted a cross from Mohammed Saeid. Six minutes later, Badji added a second goal for the Rapids, with help from Alan Gordon. In the 56th minute, Gashi made it 3-0 after an improvised pass from Badji.
