Albania international Shkëlzen Gashi has not had the easiest start to his second season in MLS - with injuries and illness - but he gave a glimpse of what the Colorado Rapids have been missing with two well-taken goals in the 3-0 home win over San Jose Earthquakes on May 13.
In that same game, Dominique Badji snatched his third goal of the season, while adding an assist on Gashi’s second of the afternoon. It was the first time in his MLS career that he managed a goal and an assist in the same game.
Meanwhile, the quiet quality within this Rapids side has proved to be Mohammed Saeid. Since arriving from Minnesota United FC, the versatile midfielder has been a pillar of consistency and helped start the rout of the Quakes with a first assist for his new club.
