Colorado Rapids striker Kei Kamara and the Heart Shaped Hands Foundation are hosting an equipment drive starting Monday, September 9 to Monday, September 30 to provide new or gently-used sporting equipment, as well as scholarships to schools and students in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
All donations collected and funds raised will go directly to schools and students to help offset costs with education and sports programmings. Through the Heart Shaped Hands Foundation, scholarships are provided to students who demonstrate a willingness to continue their education and a commitment to success. Additional scholarships are also given to individual schools for teaching supplies, sporting equipment and necessary safety repairs to create a better learning environment for its students.
Individuals who bring a donation to the Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas game on Sunday, September 29 (TICKETS) will receive a private meet-and-greet with Kei Kamara after the game. If you would like to participate in this exclusive experience please bring your donations to Gate G on the day of the game. There, you will receive further information.
