Colorado Rapids midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye has been called up by Canada Men’s National Team head coach John Herdman for the next round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November.
The Toronto native has made 29 appearances for his home country, recording two goals and seven assists in that time. In World Cup qualifying competition, the Reds are currently in third place with 10 points.
Canada’s call-up announcement comes one day after the United States’ squad’s, which saw Rapids Kellyn Acosta and Homegrown Sam Vines named to the roster for its next round of matches.
Kaye and Canada will stay at Commonwealth Stadium for this month’s matches, first taking on Costa Rica on November 12 at 7:00 PM and then Mexico on November 16 at 7:00 PM.
