Shkëlzen Gashihas been named to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi following Saturday's 3-2win over Minnesota United FC.
The midfielder's 21-minute stint against Minnesota was eventful to say the least. Just four minutes after being subbed on, Gashi was slotted a ball through MNUFC's backline to Joe Mason who found the equalizer in the 74th minute. When it looked like both teams were going home with a point, Gashi delivered a perfect corner kick to Tommy Smith who was headed home the winner in stoppage time.
The Rapids return to play this Sunday against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place with kickoff slated for 5:00 PM. (Altitude)
