Rapids announce 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game with large welcome party

Major League Soccer announced yesterday that Tottenham Hotspur F.C. will face the MLS All-Stars in the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The annual showcase will be played July 29 at 7 p.m. MT at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The game will be televised live on FOX Sports 1, UniMás and Univision Deportes Network (UDN) in the United States, TSN and RDS in Canada, and in more than 100 countries worldwide.

MLS and the Colorado Rapids hosted a welcome event for Tottenham in conjunction with a USA-Mexico watch party at the Thirsty Lion in downtown Denver. The event, which was open to the media and fans kicked off at 5 p.m. MT and featured special guests, including MLS President and Deputy Commissioner Mark Abbott, Tottenham Hotspur Executive Director Donna-Maria Cullen and Colorado Rapids Team President Tim Hinchey along with Rapids head coach Pablo Mastroeni and a number of the first team players.

Denver becomes the fourth city to host the All-Star Game for a second time. Only the now-defunct Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., and MLS' first soccer-specific stadium, newly donned MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, have hosted the event more than once.

An exclusive presale window for Colorado Rapids Full Season Ticket Members and additional partners is now available. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public starting on April 23 at 10:00 a.m. MT. In addition to the All-Star Game, fans will be able to purchase tickets to the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game in the above presale window, with a special 50 percent discount offered to those who purchase All-Star Game tickets. More information on how to secure tickets to both exhibition matches can be found at MLSsoccer.com/all-star.
