WYATT ACADEMY MINI PITCH
The Colorado Rapids, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Target, installed a new mini-pitch at the Wyatt Academy K-5 Community School in the Cole neighborhood of Denver earlier this year.
This is the second mini-pitch the Rapids have installed with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and other partners that provides underserved communities in the Denver metro area with a safe place to play soccer. It is also one of seven mini-pitches that Target and the U.S. Soccer Foundation recently completed in the greater Denver area as part of their larger partnership to create 100 mini-pitches nationwide.

The practice is the first of three in the month of May, as the team will continue to practice three times per month in the spring and fall. The Rapids social team will be covering all the action this Thursday, which will also be featured on MLS WORKS Instagram. Make sure to follow long!
In partnership with Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation, the Rolling Rapids Power Soccer team is the first full-time power soccer program in Colorado. Participants include persons with quadriplegia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, head trauma, stroke, spinal cord injury and other disabilities. Power soccer combines the skill of the wheelchair user with the speed and power of the chair itself to create a challenging and entertaining game. The game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. Two teams of four power wheelchair users attack, defend and spin-kick a 13-inch soccer ball to score goals.
