Rapids Reserves on the road against Sacramento Republic

Sacramento Republic FC fans

Colorado Rapids' Reserves travel to California for a Friday night fixture against Sacramento Republic FC, kick-off 8.30 p.m MT, still seeking their first league win of the season.

This match, against a USL Pro side, marks the Reserves' third of the campaign and follows a draw and a loss, against Seattle Sounders and Real Salt Lake respectively. The match will count toward the Rapids standings in the Reserve League, as well as Sacramento's points push in the USL Pro.

Sacramento Republic are currently fourth in the USL standings, 16 points behind leaders Orlando City SC, but with two games in hand.

Friday's fixture will mark the inaugural match at Bonney Field, a new 8,000-seater stadium. Construction on the site only began in March.

Sacramento's previous outing ended in a 2-0 loss to Oklahoma City Energy FC on June 14, in which they played the final 31 minutes with ten men after midfielder Ivan Mirković was sent off. The California team includes striker Adam Jahn, on loan from San Jose Earthquakes. Jahn was dismissed earlier in the season when the Quakes played out a 0-0 draw at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
