Commerce City, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids today welcomed the newest addition to the team in Colombian midfielder Jaime Castrillon. The former Independiente Medellin and national team attacking midfielder will join his new Rapids teammates for two training sessions today at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Castrillón, 28, scored over 50 goals in nearly 300 games with Medellin, including 11 in 2011. He also played with a team in China in 2009 and Once Caldas in Colombia in 2010. He has also represented his country at all levels, and made four appearances in 2010 World Cup Qualifying matches – against Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
