Notes:
One MLS Debut, Two Rapids Debuts
Jeremy Kelly will earn his MLS and Rapids debut tonight. He will feature at right back next to central defender Lalas Abubakar and will likely look to join the attack as often as possible. Kelly was selected ninth overall form the University of North Carolina in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by the Montreal Impact, but the Canadian side immediately traded his rights to the Rapids who signed the 22-year-old defender on February 25, 2020 to a one-year contract.
On the left wing, Nicolas Benezet will make his Rapids debut after suffering a broken nose during a preseason match that kept him from the lineup in the first two games. The talented French winger joined the Rapids in the offseason from Toronto FC and will look to fill the void left by Sam Nicholson, who started the first two games of 2020.
Kamara Keeps Climbing
Kei Kamara is the fifth all-time leading goalscorer in MLS history with 127 goals. The Sierra Leone native is six goals away from tying Jaime Moreno (133) for the fourth most goals in league history, and is seven goals away from tying Jeff Cunningham (134) for third all-time.
1,000 Goal Club
The Rapids are just three goals away from reaching 1,000 goals in all-time regular season play.
