Reaction
HEAD COACH ROBIN FRASER
On the team’s performance:
“Obviously, we dug ourselves a little bit of a hole early on, but I thought throughout we were able to create some good chances as well. Obviously, LAFC is a very good team, but we feel like we could’ve come out of here with some points, but overall, really proud of the effort and the grit that the team showed. Certainly, going down 2-0 could’ve completely affected them and their mentality seemed like it got better at that point, so overall, really proud of the effort and disappointed not to get something out of the game.”
On the team’s tactical approach after going down 2-0:
“We talked about getting more possession and ways to do that. And then we also talked about emphasizing the quick counterattacks because we had created so many chances in the first half through it that it was certainly something that was going to be viable for us, so really it was about if we can go forward quickly, we wanted to go forward, and if the opportunity wasn’t there to go forward then we wanted to go across the field and possess a bit more.”
MIDFIELDER JACK PRICE
On the team’s character:
“A bit disappointed obviously with the result, but what we love about this team and why I love playing for this team is the grit. [They] never give up. Still had chances toward the end where we had great chances to probably nick a point, if not more. And like I said, we’re disappointed but we felt we gave a good account of ourselves and can’t be too hard on ourselves tonight. We look forward to Dallas next week now, big game.”
