Game Notes
- Fans of the Burgundy & Blue will remember Mihailovic's hat-trick performance at Energizer Park last season, and then the 4-1 routing of the Midwest club at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park--combining for a 7-1 goal differential against St. Louis in 2024. This year, the club is led by a new head coach in Olof Mellberg.
- Tuesday night's Concacaf Champions Cup match saw multiple club debuts--defenders Awaziem and Murphy and Homegrown midfielder Sam Bassett. On Saturday, Sam can make his MLS debut, as well as SuperDraft signing Alex Harris.
- Another notable debut for the club is marked by Josh Atencio's start in the midfield, his first for the club since being signed on Feb. 15. The Homegrown out of Seattle has been training with the first team since his arrival to Colorado, primed to make an impact in the center of the pitch at Energizer Park.
- Rapids 2 defender Anderson Rosa has been called up on a Short-Term Agreement ahead of the season opener on Saturday. In accordance with the 2025 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, a club may sign a player, age 25 or younger during the league season, from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days).
- The Rapids will don the Headwaters Kit for the first time on Saturday night! Match with your favorite player this season and get your own from Altitude Authentics.
