The Rapids are on the road today to face the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium. Today's game will mark the 66th contest between the two sides in a series where Colorado has 21 wins, 29 losses, 15 draws.
In a non-injury related note, Rapids defender Tommy Smith and forward Yannick Boli both are out serving a one-game suspension.
On the injury front, strikers Sam Nicholson (back) and Jack McBean (foot/toe) as well as goalkeeper Zac MacMath (illness) are listed as out. Nicholson has now missed six matches this season due to injury, while McBean has been out the last five contests as he recovers from a foot/toe injury. Also out today are defender Danny Wilson, who has been dealing with a back injury, and Rapids Homegrown Ricardo Perez (knee), who recently returned to Colorado after spending the 2018 season with the Charlotte Independence.
Edgar Castillo came off the pitch last weekend at halftime due to a hamstring injury and is listed questionable against the Earthquakes. Jack Price is once again probable to feature as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
San Jose will be without defender Kevin Partida (right ACL reconstruction surgery and partial meniscectomy 7/20, out 9 months), and midfielder Jahmir Hyka (facial surgery 10/13, out 2-3 weeks).
