The
Colorado Rapids Special Olympics Unified team
traveled to Washington, D.C. Thursday morning to take on D.C. United’s Unified team for their second match of the season.
After falling to D.C.'s Unified team last year at home, the Rapids' Unified team is ready for a rematch. The game will take place at RFK Auxiliary Field on Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 PM. The game is free and open to the public. Both teams will be attending the first-team game later on Saturday.
The teams have received coaching, instruction and mentoring from both Colorado Rapids and D.C. United players. The 7v7 game will feature two 20-minute halves and a five-minute halftime.
