Sunday's match involving Rapids Reserves and FC Dallas is cancelled

Kamani Hill and Carlos Alvarez for the Reserves

The Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas, both short on healthy bodies as of late, came to a mutual agreement this week to cancel Sunday's reserve game.

Colorado and Dallas agreed to cancel the game in order to focus on regular season MLS matches and resting injured players. Additionally, in order to field a full team, both sides would have had to call upon players from the Development Academy teams, who are playing each other this Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Colorado Rapids Reserves team last played the Dayton Dutch Lions in a 2-1 victory on August 23. The reserves will return to action against the Seattle Sounders for a home match on October 6 at 11 a.m. on Field 20 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The match is open to the public, and free to attend.

Their final match of the season will be the following week, facing Chivas USA on October 12 at 12 p.m. The Rapids are 1-2-2 in league play and 3-2-2 on the season overall.
