Two people who featured in the first-ever game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, in the colors of the Colorado Rapids, will stride back into the stadium this Saturday seeking to shatter the 19-game unbeaten home run currently enjoyed by the burgundy boys.
Mike Petke is the recently-installed head coach of Real Salt Lake, and helped them to their first win of the season last weekend, over Vancouver Whitecaps FC. But it is his midfield general, and former teammate, Kyle Beckerman who will hoping to pull the Salt Lake strings on the field.
For the Rapids, they will be looking to Uganda international Micheal Azira to make it an uncomfortable return for Beckerman.
In Azira and Beckerman we have two combative players, looking to boss the middle of the park, thereby allowing the play-makers to produce the difference.
