Former teammates Bobby Burling and Chris Wondolowski will likely see quite a bit of each other this Saturday, when the Colorado Rapids meet San Jose Earthquakes at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (TICKETS).
Burling spent two-and-a-half years at the Quakes. Wondolowski was with him for his Quakes debut, at Colorado on September 23, 2009, and the San Jose legend was alongside Burling when he played his last game for the California club at the end of the 2011 season.
In all, Burling made 48 appearances in the colors of the Quakes. He was with the club when Wondolowski enjoyed his breakout season in 2010, scoring a then career-high 18 goals. Burling's job now is to stop Wondolowski, and help the Rapids turn a corner.
