By the numbers: here are 10 stats from the Colorado Rapids' 2-1 win over Montreal Impact at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night.
1.Alan Gordon now has three goals and three assists for the Colorado Rapids. All three goals have been scored as a substitute, and from a total of 37 minutes of playing time.
2. In his first start at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, new German signing Stefan Aigner scored his first goal in Major League Soccer. His previous goal had come on May 21, when he gave 1860 Munich the lead at FC Heidenheim. The home team came back to win that one 2-1.
3.Mekeil Williams had an assist in both goals at the weekend. His last assist came on May 28, 2016 versus Philadelphia Union.
4. Midfielder Marlon Hairston made his 26th start of the 2017 season. That total is as many as he made in his first three seasons in MLS combined.
5. Uganda international Micheal Azira limped out of Saturday’s win, but not before playing 79 minutes. He now sits on career-high minutes for a single season (2,569). Azira also made his 28th start of the season. This equals the career-high, set in 2016 in his first season with the Rapids.
6.Joshua Gatt went 90 minutes against the Impact. This was his first full game since June 21 and the 3-1 home loss to LA Galaxy.
7. This was the Rapids’ first home win in five attempts, since defeating Houston Dynamo 3-1 on July 1.
8. With Matteo Mancosu’s goal for the Impact, it means the Rapids have not kept a clean sheet at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in any of the last nine league games. The previous shutout was against Sporting Kansas City on May 27.
9. Though his evening ended early with the red card, Jared Watts started his 18th game of the season, which equals his career-high set in 2016.
10.Dominique Badji’s best season in MLS keeps getting better. His sixth assist of the year helped Gordon grab the winner. It was Badji’s first assist since tallying three in the 3-1 home win over Houston in July.
