U.S. MNT sells out Dick's Sporting Goods Park for FIFA WCQ against Costa Rica

CHICAGO (February 19, 2013) – A sellout crowd will witness the USA’s first home match in the final round of 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying when they host Costa Rica on March 22 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. MT, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas. Fans can also follow the match live on ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker and on Twitter @ussoccer.


Following an advance sale for U.S. Soccer Supporters Club members, Colorado Rapids season ticket holders and Visa cardholders, tickets on sale to the general public sold out within one hour.



While the USA-Costa Rica match is officially sold out, a limited number of Ultimate Fan Tickets (a special VIP package that includes a premium ticket, official U.S. National Team jersey with the name and number of your choice, VIP access to the field before and after the game and other unique benefits) are available exclusively through ussoccer.com. U.S. Soccer will feature a number of different opportunities to provide fans with a complete experience around the match, from tailgating featuring local chefs to Coaching Education seminars for all levels of coaches.


The U.S. is part of the six-team Hexagonal along with Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico and Panama. The 10-game, round-robin format will be contested through Oct.15. The top three teams will automatically advance to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, while the fourth-place team will compete in a two-leg playoff against the champion from the Oceania Confederation.
