The week is finally here.
On Friday the U.S. Men's National Team will play its first home match of the final round of World Cup Qualifying against Costa Rica at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The match is sold out, but fans with or without tickets will have a chance to see the team - for free - in advance.
U.S. Soccer is hosting a pep rally on Thursday, March 21 at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Denver. USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann and select players will be in attendance to speak and interact with fans the night prior to the big match. The rally is part of a series of event U.S. Soccer has scheduled to get the community behind the USMNT in their visit to Colorado.
Admittance to the pep rally is free for all fans, with the event starting at 8 p.m. The doors will open for VIP and Supporters Club member at 7 p.m. and for the general public at 7:30. Space is limited so plan to arrive early to guarantee entry.
"Having huge support from our fans is a critical part of winning at home in World Cup qualifying," said U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. "The game sold out in one hour, so we know it's going to be a great atmosphere in the stadium. We wanted the chance to spend time with the fans and really get everyone excited about the match."
The Paramount Theatre is located at 1621 Glenarm Place in Denver just off the 16th Street Mall.
Kick off for the first MNT game in Denver since 2008 is set for 8 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas.
