Marcello Castro may not have been invited to the MLS Combine, but he didn't go unnoticed. The third-team All-American was selected by the the Rapids with their final pick in the MLS Supplemental Draft on Tuesday.
Castro, from Parana, Brazil, played center back at Sacred Heart but his size allowed him to contribute to headers offensively and his ability to strike the ball enabled him to routinely take free kicks. His highlights from college below:
