What does supporter culture mean to you?
Supporter culture is being surrounded by a strong, collective voice- united in words, actions, and representation that is built-up and continued on through a shared passion for our team and what they stand for.

When it comes to C38 and the Mile High Lokos, how do you view the energy they bring to the sport, and how do they compare to other supporters you’ve encountered in soccer?
I am looking forward to more growth from the group and especially a focus on the outreach to women and diverse populations. I am excited to see what the new fan engagement specialist will do to support a refreshed energy from the groups.

How have you seen a team impact the community, in Colorado and beyond?
Growing up, I was always impressed with the "care" initiatives of teams that would visit local schools to inspire a strong work ethic and a dedication to the field you are passionate about. I enjoy when teams use their platform to uplift the collective voice of their supporters and their community- if Commerce City neighbors need to be heard, could the Rapids amplify their voice?

What are some key ingredients that tie a club to its supporters, and further, their community, in a meaningful way?
Shared vision & goals, shared culture, and allied efforts. If the club doesn't understand the daily lives of their supporters, they cannot communicate effectively. Being able to use their platform to make real change in the daily lives and stability of supporters is the key to getting more fans in the stadium. If you can't pay rent, you can't invest in your local team.
I'd love to talk about how the Rapids can partner with organizations like the GES Coalition or Cultivando in Commerce City to make real change in the community they are nested in.

What can a larger, more casual fanbase learn from passionate supporter groups like C38 and Mile High Lokos?
The casual fanbase can learn about traditions, chants, and history. They can discover new and old places where supporters meet. They can be encouraged to wear fan gear and to learn more about the best things about their team- how do they give back? How are their stats and accomplishments impressive? How is our team unique from others?

Do you have a favorite Rapids moment that made you a supporter?
The Rapids purposeful shift to reach out to more Latinx supporters is what has brought me closer to supporting the team and the club. I've been living in the adjacent neighborhood to Commerce city in GES and felt that locals didn't have a connection to the team. Lately, the outreach has felt more inclusive to Hispanos. We'd love to be fans to more than just Mexican and Central American teams- we want a reason to love our local club.

What is your favorite piece from the new line?
Who doesn't love a classic black hoodie!? - Understated and wearable everywhere. I also love the burgundy beanie for the same reasons and that it's repping the Rapid Burgundy. Finally, the crewneck with the front range was also timeless and classic.
