How long have you supported the Rapids?
I have been a Rapids fan/supporter since the first season in 1996. I think it was really just being a new team in Denver. I honestly can’t remember what specifically got me to games.
Since joining the fan base, what has been your favorite memory of the team?
I would say when the players join us at our C38 Tailgate. Just getting to chat with them in a very non-formal environment is great.
Who is your favorite player, current or former, to watch and what made you a fan of them?
This is a tough one, but I have a tie. Kortne Ford and Andre Shinyashiki. As a DU Pioneer alumni and supporter, I got to know both of these players during their time at DU. Kortne is by far the nicest, most humble athlete I have ever met, and that continued through his time with the Rapids and still to this day. Andre is just a hell of a player and you can see his passion and skill every time he is on the pitch.
What is the most memorable game you’ve attended?
The 2021 Thanksgiving Playoff Game. The entire day was just electric.
How do you draw in other friends and family to games to become fans?
I get them to the tailgate and to be a part of C38.
What makes C38 unique as a supporters' group?
I would say our inviting culture and our Undefeated Tailgate! I would say we work on marketing ourselves to other Rapids fans.
What is your hope for the future of C38 and the possibilities of expanding the fanbase this season and beyond?
My hope is to grow our membership and to innovate the gameday experience.
