Nominees for the Colorado Rapids HealthONE Player of the Month are here! The three players up for the award are Kellyn Acosta, Edgar Castillo and Jack Price.

Kellyn Acosta was exceptional in his first full month as a member of the Rapids. The 23-year-old midfielder scored the equalizer in the Rapids' 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy on August 4. One week later, he provided the helper to Tommy Smith's opening goal against the San Jose Earthquakes. Overall, Acosta is tied for first among his teammates with chances created (eight in 240 passes), made 22 crosses and 62 defensive plays (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances).
Edgar Castillo continues to be an instrumental part of the team as he delivered three assists. He also tallied his third goal in the 2-2 draw against the Galaxy in LA. Overall, the 31-year-old created five chances in 229 passes and ranks first among his teammates in defensive actions as he made 72 defensive plays (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances).
The final nominee for the HealthONE Player of the Month is Jack Price. The midfielder provided the assist on Acosta's 50th-minute goal in the 2-1 win over LA Galaxy and created four chances in 470 passes. He has a 91 percent pass accuracy and is the only player above 90 percent in this category. Overall, Price made 43 defensive actions (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances) and ranks first amongst his teammates in interceptions.
