Nominees for the Colorado Rapids HealthONE Player of the Month are here! The three players up for the award are Kellyn Acosta, Jack Price and Tim Howard.

Kellyn Acostahas quickly become a key player for the club since joining on July 23, 2018. This past month the midfielder created four chances, completed nine crosses and made 31 defensive plays (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances). In addition, the 23-year-old featured for the US men's national team, featuring in their friendlies against Brazil and Mexico.
Jack Price was an instrumental part of the squad in September, as he tallied 274 passes with a 88.32 percent passing accuracy. The 25-year-old midfielder has touched the ball an average 76.0 times per game this season. Since the start of 2010, no Rapids player has averaged more than 70.7 touches per game in a single season. The Englishmen started in all four games, playing a total of 360 minutes and made 33 defensives plays (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances).
The final nominee for the HealthONE Player of the Month is Tim Howard. The captain had a superb month between the sticks as he topped 100 saves on the year. He also was named among the 18 for the MLS Team of the Week following his six-save performance against the Portland Timbers. Overall, Howard made 19 saves with 11 of them being inside the 18-yard-box and eight outside the box. He finished third in MLS for most saves in September behind Evan Bush of Montreal and David Bingham of the LA Galaxy.
