Following their performances against Portland to clinch the Rapids a playoff berth, Braian Galván and Auston Trusty have earned themselves a place on Week 32’s edition of MLS’s Team of the Week.
Galván acquired a spot on the Team of the Week back line after driving up the sideline not once, but twice on Saturday against the Timbers to contribute two assists on the night. His picture-perfect deliveries to Dominique Badji and Diego Rubio ensured a playoff spot for the Rapids and tripled his assists recorded in the 2021 season.
Auston Trusty’s performance against Portland earned the defender a place on the Team of the Week bench, as he recorded the full 90 minutes of the game. In that time, Trusty took two shots and kept a 91% passing accuracy. This is the defender’s second Team of the Week honor of the season after earning a spot on Week 28’s lineup for his performance against Austin FC.
The Rapids take on New England Revolution on Wednesday, October 27th at Gillette Stadium for Colorado's penultimate regular season road game. Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM.
