The Colorado Rapids have terminated the contract of Abdelrahman Tamim following comments made by the eMLS player during a recent FUT Champions match.
“We are extremely disappointed to learn of Abdelrahman’s comments, which are unacceptable and run contrary to our values,” said Padráig Smith, Colorado Rapids Executive VP & General Manager. “We do not tolerate that type of language or behavior, especially from someone representing our club.”
The club will be announcing a new eMLS player in the coming days to take Tamim’s place in the 2020 eMLS season.
