Colorado Rapids 2 announce 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season schedule 

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids 2 announced today their schedule for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season.

Rapids 2 will kick off their fourth MLS NEXT Pro campaign on Friday, March 7, with a trip to Parmer Field to take on Austin FC II (4:30 p.m. MT; Apple TV). The team will then have a two-week break before hitting the road to take on Rocky Mountain rivals Real Monarchs at Zions Bank Stadium on Sunday, March 23 (6:00 p.m. MT; mlsnextpro.com). Rapids 2 will play their first home match on Thursday, April 24, against MNUFC2 (6:00 p.m. MT, mlsnextpro.com) at a to be determined location. Colorado will play 28 regular season matches in 2025, 14 at home and 14 on the road. During the 2025 season, all MLS NEXT Pro teams will face their division opponents three times over the course of the 30-week season to foster more regional rivalries. The League’s fourth season will feature 29 clubs with 27 MLS affiliates and two independent teams.

A majority of MLS NEXT Pro matches will be available through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Any matches not streamed on Apple TV will be available to fans on the MLS NEXT Pro website at mlsnextpro.com.

This season’s Decision Day will take place on Sunday, October 5, with all Western Conference teams kicking off at 2 p.m. MT. The 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs will begin the weekend of October 17 and consist of three rounds of knockout stages before the MLS NEXT Pro Cup. This year’s playoffs will feature the return of the “pick-your-opponent” format debuted during the 2023 postseason. Eight teams will qualify for the playoffs from each conference, with Seeds No. 1-4 selecting their opponents in the first round (no first round bye for the No. 1 Seed). In the second round, only the highest remaining seed in each conference will select an opponent from any of the remaining three teams.
