COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Colorado Rapids 2 have signed defender Logan Batiste for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season, the club announced today.
“Logan is a talented young player who has demonstrated the ability to affect the game on both sides of the ball,” said Brian Crookham, Rapids 2 General Manager. “We are very excited to add a player to the system of his profile and believe he has a very high ceiling.”
Batiste, 18, joins Rapids 2 as a free agent after his first season in MLS NEXT Pro with Inter Miami CF II. The young right back appeared in 16 matches (10 starts) for Miami in the inaugural 2022 season.
Batiste joined the Inter Miami CF Academy in 2019 as a U-16/U-17 player and earned a starting position on the squad where he made 11 appearances and scored one goal during his first season with the youth side. At the international level, Batiste has represented the U.S. during the 2020 season at the UEFA Development Tournament with the U-17 Men’s Youth National Team.
