There were not too many goals in games involving teams from the Rapids and Lonestar SC Development Academies on Saturday, but it was quite a different story in contests with Arsenal Colorado.
The U-18/19s were held 1-1, despite taking the lead through Rafael Perez. Only one goal was needed for the U-16/17s to register victory in their game, with Jairo Barreras striking early. The U-15s were also 1-0 winners, courtesy of Sam Bassett.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Luke Robinson bagged a brace for the U-14s as they defeated Arsenal Colorado 7-1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Other goals came from Daniel Garcia, Banyon Lyon, Alan Salgado, Darren Yapi, plus an own goal.
The U-13s kept a clean sheet in defeating Arsenal Colorado 3-0. Kevin Tlaxcalteco, Sureel McCain, and Finn Hilty were the scorers. The two U-12s teams won 2-1 and 3-1 respectively.
Next up for the U-18/19s, U-16/17s, and U-15s is a trip to Texas to face FC Dallas on November 4, followed by a meeting with Solar SC on November 5.
The U-12s, U-13s, and U-14s are in action a little sooner. They host Real Colorado on October 28, before traveling to Colorado Springs to play Pride Switchbacks DA on October 29.
