Two shutouts and seven goals scored made it a great weekend for the Colorado Rapids U-14s, as they recorded wins over Real Colorado and Pride Switchbacks.
Luke Robinson netted three goals across the two games. He bagged a brace in the 4-0 home win over Real on Saturday, before hitting the second in a 3-0 success over Pride on Sunday.
Other scorers against Real Colorado included Maclovio Swett and Alan Salgado. Also on the scoresheet against the Switchbacks were Connor Miller and Samuel Ovesen.
Not such good news for the U-13s. They were edged 1-0 at home by Real on Saturday, though they did turn things around the following day with a 7-1 win over Pride.
The two U-12 teams had a mixed weekend. They lost 2-0 and tied 2-2 with Real Colorado, before both teams triumphed at Pride Switchbacks, 3-1 and 7-2 respectively.
The senior Development Academy sides return to duties this weekend. The U-18/19s, U-16/17s and U-15s are all in Texas, to face FC Dallas on Saturday and Solar Soccer Club on Sunday.
For the U-14s, a three-game weekend beckons. They head west to California, playing San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, and both Los Angeles United Futbol Academy and LA Galaxy on Sunday.
It is a similar story for the U-13s, though their games in California begin on Friday with matches against Portland Timbers and then Washington Premier FC. They play a third game on Saturday, against their LA Galaxy counterparts.
