COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids winger Sam Nicholson underwent a successful procedure to decompress the anterior and posterior right ankle joint, the club announced today. Nicholson is expected to be sidelined between 12 to 16 weeks as he rehabilitates from the procedure.
Nicholson, 28, is currently in his second stint with the Rapids after rejoining the side from Bristol Rovers in June of last year. The Scotland native recorded 22 regular-season appearances in 2023, logging a goal and an assist.
