The Rapids Development Academy U-15s and U-17s traveled to Los Angeles this past weekend to compete in the 2018-19 Generation adidas Cup. Brandon Casales scored a brace as the U-15s went 2-0-1 overall recording two wins over Vancouver Whitecaps (1-0), LA Galaxy (1-0) and split points with Real Salt Lake (1-1). The U-17s ended the weekend with a 1-1-1 record thanks to a win over the Portland Timbers (4-1). Mario Ramirez, Jason Robles, Donovan Roux, Logan Dorsey were among those on the scoresheet.
The top two teams from each group, plus two wildcards, will advance to the Champions Division in the 2019 Generation adidas Cup finals at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, while the remaining teams will compete in the Premier Division.
