Atlanta ➡️ Barça ➡️ Orange County
Jamison started playing soccer when he was 10 and quickly found his footing on a path to success. From a club near his hometown of Atlanta, he eventually moved to Atlanta United's Academy for one season. He then joined the Barcelona Residency Academy, based in Arizona, for the 2021-2022 season, where he quickly moved from his U-17 age group to play with the U-19s. He finished the season with seven goals in 13 games with that age group, as well as a starting spot on the West team in the 2022 MLS NEXT All-Star game.
The 19-year-old striker signed with Orange County SC in September of 2022 and tallied two goals and two assists for the senior team in 2023, then upped his numbers in 2024 with five goals and four assists across 36 games played. Orange County fans voted him Young Player of the Year in 2024:
High Energy, High Hopes
Jamison describes his play as "aggressive, energetic and direct"-- a picture-perfect fit for a high-energy system like Chris Armas' in Colorado. For the remainder of his season on loan with Orange County the striker is looking to collect even more goals and assists in preparation for a hopeful Rapids' debut.
"Coming into a higher level, it's gonna elevate my game and get me better and prepare for the next level potentially," he said.
Friendly Faces
Jamison has already crossed paths with a few Rapids in his young career. He played in the first-ever MLS NEXT All-Star game in 2022 with Adam Beaudry when he was rostered with Barça Academy, both taking the pitch to represent the West team. In the international stage, he represented the U.S. U-17 youth national team for World Cup qualifiers and in the Cup itself in 2023, rostering alongside both Beaudry and fellow Rapids goalkeeper, Zackory Campagnolo.
Off The Pitch
Outside of playing, Jamison takes college courses online, likes to read and watch anime, especially One Piece. Living in Orange County has its perks, as he likes to hit the beach in his downtime as well.
