Tickets for the U.S. WNT match in Colorado go on sale to public on Aug. 31

USWNT Fan Tribute Tour comes to DSG Park on Sept. 19, 2012

CHICAGO (Aug. 24, 2012) – Tickets for the U.S. Women’s National Team Fan Tribute Tour match against Australia at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Sept. 19 go on sale to the public starting on Friday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. MT.


Current 2012 Colorado Rapids Full Season Ticket Holders will have a special presale opportunity to purchase match tickets on Monday, August 27. Rapids 2012 Partial Season Ticket Holders will have a presale opportunity on Wednesday, August 29. Season Ticket Holders will receive a special link to purchase tickets via email from the Rapids.


Tickets will be available online at tickethorse.com, ussoccer.com, or by phone at 866-461-6556 or 303-534-6119 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. MT Monday-Saturday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT on Sunday). Tickets also are available at all Dick’s Sporting Goods locations in Metro Denver and at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park ticket office (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; closed at 2 p.m. Aug. 31 to Sept. 2).


The Dick’s Sporting Goods Park box office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, for Labor Day.

Parking at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for this match will be $10 and $20.

The USA, coming off a gold medal performance at the 2012 London Olympics, will kick off against Australia at 8 p.m. MT. The game at the home of Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN3.


U.S. Soccer has announced three U.S. WNT matches, starting with a Sept. 1 game against Costa Rica, with a 2:30 p.m. ET kickoff at a sold-out Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. A live broadcast will be on NBC. The U.S. then plays Australia at 12:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 16, at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., with the live broadcast on NBC.

The U.S. Women’s National Team won its third straight gold medal and fourth gold medal overall at the 2012 London Olympics. The USA displayed its first 6-0-0 showing at the event, which included a thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory in the semifinals against Canada on Aug. 6 and Carli Lloyd’s two-goal performance to lead the U.S. to a 2-1 win against 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup champion Japan in the gold medal match on Aug. 9.
