Rapids goalkeeper William Yarbrough cemented his spot between the sticks on the league's Team of the Matchday Starting XI following his performance in Colorado's home opener on Saturday night. Yarbrough recorded 11 saves in the scoreless draw, becoming the first player in club history to do so, and his stops were the most by any goalkeeper in MLS this season.
"He was fantastic," said head coach Robin Fraser after the match. "[He] made a number of incredible saves, looked as sharp as could possibly be and we were we were really lucky to have Will tonight because for as well as we played, we gave up enough chances that we could have lost as well."
Yarbrough also recorded his 27th clean sheet on Saturday, giving him sole possession of the second-most clean sheets in club history, surpassing Clint Irwin.
