MLS CAREER

• During his second stint with the Galaxy (2014-16), Gordon scored 13 goals. When Gordon scored, the Galaxy went unbeaten, enjoying a 9-0-4 record.
• Gordon is a classic target forward, strong in the air, who can hold the ball up and play with his back to goal.
• He is also known for his propensity for vital late goals, which he became known for in the San Jose Earthquakes' 2012 Supporters' Shield run.

2017

• Made his Rapids debut in the 1-0 home win over New England Revolution (3/4), playing the last six minutes in place of goalscorer Dominique Badji.
• Missed the trip to New York Red Bulls (3/11) due to a back strain.
• Played the last 16 minutes of the 2-2 home tie with Minnesota United FC (3/18), but sat out the next two games due to a hamstring injury.
• Gordon made his first start for the club in the 2-0 loss at Orlando City SC (4/29), playing 58 minutes before being replaced by Dominique Badji.
• Made his first start for the Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in the 1-0 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps FC (5/5).
• Tallied two assists - his first for the club - in the 3-0 home win over San Jose Earthquakes (5/13). It was the first time since September 29, 2012 that the MLS veteran had multiple assists in the same game.

• Came off the bench to score his first goal for the Rapids, a far-post header in the 86th minute, which turned out to be the winner of a 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew SC (6/3).
• In the next league game, he again came off the bench, and again scored a late winner with his head, at home to Portland Timbers (6/17).
• Credited with the assist on Dominique Badji's equalizing goal at Toronto FC (7/22). This was his third assist for the Rapids, more than he had managed in the previous three seasons combined.

2016

• His final year with LA Galaxy saw him produce three goals in 22 regular season appearances, of which only seven were starts.
• Gordon started all three of the Galaxy's postseason games, including both Western Conference Semifinal encounters against the Colorado Rapids. He scored in the 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake.
• His three goals all came in his last six appearances. The first was in a 4-2 win over Orlando City SC on September 11, and brought him his 50th regular season goal in MLS.
• He followed this with goals at Sporting Kansas City on September 18 (2-2) and in the 1-0 win at Houston Dynamo (October 16).

2015

• Gordon made 29 appearances and seven starts during the 2015 MLS season, while scoring five goals.
• He notched three game-winning MLS goals, only trailing team MVP Robbie Keane, who recorded five.
• Gordon also played a crucial part in the 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League, scoring four goals in group play as LA advanced to the quarterfinals.

2014

• After spending the first-half of the season with San Jose, Gordon was traded to the Galaxy in August, where he went on to make 14 appearances and five starts.
• He became the Galaxy’s late-game threat, scoring five goals and adding an assist, including one game winning goal and two game-tying goals in matches the Galaxy won.
• Played in each of the Galaxy’s five MLS Cup Playoff matches en route to the club winning their MLS-record fifth MLS Cup title.

2013

• Had four goals and three assists in 24 regular season games for the Quakes. Two of those goals contributed to one of the most dramatic results in MLS history as Gordon came off the bench in the 66th minute to score twice in a comeback win against the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on June 29. Gordon and Shea Salinas scored in second-half stoppage time with San Jose playing a man down, the first time such a comeback has ever happened in MLS history.
• Also had a goal and an assist in a 2-2 draw against FC Dallas at FC Dallas Stadium on August 24.
• Moved up to No. 8 on the Earthquakes' all-time career goals list with 18.
• In the CONCACAF Champions League, he played 90 minutes at Montreal on August 7. Came on as a second-half substitute in the 82nd minute vs. Montreal on September 17, and came on as a second-half substitute in the 60th minute vs. CD Heredia on October 23.

2012

• A season in which he helped San Jose Earthquakes to victory in the Supporters' Shield, with a career-high 13 goals from just 13 starts (22 total appearances).
• Returned to training on 3/19 after undergoing right hip surgery. Made 2012 debut and played in first MLS game since 8/6/11 at SEA on 3/31, coming on as a substitute for the final 23 minutes.
• Came on as a substitute for the final 38 minutes vs. VAN on 4/7, scoring the 72nd-minute game-winner off a glancing header to the far corner.
• Goal, which was nominated for AT&T Goal of the Week, was his second for the club, with the other one a game-tying header in the 67th minute of a 1-1 draw vs. POR on 8/6/11.
• DNP at NY on 4/14 (L – hamstring strain). Returned to action vs. RSL on 4/21, coming on as a substitute for the final 15 minutes.
• DNP at PHI on 4/28, vs. DC on 5/2 and at VAN on 5/5 (L – hamstring strain). Came on for the final 33 minutes vs. CHV on 5/13, heading in the 88th-minute equalizer. Came on for the final 30 minutes vs. CLB on 5/19 and produced a right-footed side-volley for the 90th-minute equalizer.
• Came on as a halftime substitute at LA on 5/23, heading the game winning goal in the 94th minute.
• Played final 31 minutes at RSL on 6/23, scoring the opening goal in the 75th and assisting on Chris Wondolowski’s winner in the 84th.
• Started and played 71 minutes and scored the game-winning goal off a header in the 45th minute.
• Played 90 minutes at VAN on 7/22 and scored for a third consecutive game.
• Started and played 93 minutes before receiving his second yellow card in stoppage time … DNP vs. SEA on 8/11 due to red card suspension … DNP at MTL on 8/18 due to yellow card accumulation suspension.
• Played all 90 minutes vs. COL on 8/25, recording an assist in the 11th minute and two goals in the 43rd and 75th minute, respectively.

• Started and played 90 minutes vs. DAL on 9/29, scoring in the 24th minute and recording assists in the 82nd and 95th minutes, respectively.
• MLS Cup Playoffs: Came on as a substitute for Steven Beitashour in the 73rd minute against LA in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals 11/7, scoring a goal in the 82nd minute.
• Open Cup: Started and played 77 minutes vs. MIN on 6/6. Started and played 90 minutes vs. SEA on 6/26 before being sent-off in stoppage time.

2011

• Began the season with Toronto FC, where he scored four goals in eight appearances (seven starts). Among his goals were a brace at LA on 6/11, after entering the game as a 43rd minute substitute.
• As well as playing in MLS for Toronto, he also featured in two games in the Canadian Championship.
• Joined San Jose Earthquakes via trade, along with Jacob Peterson and Nana Attakora from Toronto FC in exchange for Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an international player slot.
• Injury to his right quadriceps prevented him from appearing in the first three available games for the Quakes. He eventually made his for San Jose on 7/30, starting and playing 73 minutes vs. DC.
• Came on as a substitute in 57th minute and scored first career goal for Earthquakes 10 minutes later to earn a 1-1 draw vs. POR on 8/6.
• Missed the last 11 games of the season due to surgery to repair torn rectus abdominis and torn left and right hip adductors.

2010

• Began the year at LA Galaxy and ended it at Chivas USA. Played nine games for Chivas, starting eight. Scored one goal and added three assists, and was named MLS Player of the Week on 9/13.
• Started four of his 12 appearances for the Galaxy, scoring just the one goal, which came at Colorado on 5/5.

2009

• In his sixth season with LA, scored three goals and added three assists in 22 games.
• Came off the bench in both of the club’s summer friendlies, against AC Milan and Barcelona, scoring the Galaxy’s first goal in the 2-2 draw with Milan, and was fouled late in the Western Conference Championship win over Houston, setting up Landon Donovan’s penalty kick to complete the 2-0 win.

2008

• Set career highs in all offensive categories. Scored five goals and notched seven assists in 26 games.
• Scored two goals in the 5-2 win vs. CHV on 4/26 after coming on as a second-half substitute.
• Inducted to the NJCAA Soccer Hall of Fame in November.

2007

• Preseason foot surgery ruled him out until July.
• Started 11 of 14 games with the Galaxy, scoring three goals.
• Scored three times in SuperLiga, tallying the first goal in the 2-1 win over Pachuca on 7/24. Scored a pair of goals in the 6-5 win at DAL on 7/31.

2006

• Netted his first goal in MLS, on August 26, opening the scoring for the Galaxy in a 5-2 win at D.C. United.
• Went on to score four goals in 17 appearances (11 starts) in MLS.
• Was Galaxy’s joint top-scorer in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after tallying three goals in four games, including one in the Open Cup Final defeat in Chicago.

2005

• Suffered from a groin injury for the first half of the season.
• Started three games with the first team and five with the Galaxy Reserves.
• Scored one goal and notched one assist in Reserve Division action.

2004

• He was originally selected by LA Galaxy in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. Gordon was eventually selected in the sixth round, 53rd overall.
• Unable to break into a strong Galaxy lineup, he joined Portland Timbers, then of the A -League.
• Made his MLS debut in a 0-0 tie at SJ on 9/25, having arrived on loan from Portland Timbers. Started the final two games of the year.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL

2004

• Named A-League Rookie of the Year after scoring 17 goals in 27 games for the Portland Timbers and leading them to the best regular-season record in the league.
• In that 2004 season he was also a finalist for MVP, and finished as the league’s joint top scorer, alongside Dante Washington.

COLLEGE

• Played two years at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ., scoring 39 goals for the Roughriders before finishing his college career at Oregon State.
• From 2002-03, he tallied 26 goals and seven assists in 40 games for OSU, finishing as the team’s leading scorer and earning All-Pac-10 First Team honors both years.
• His 15 goals in 2002 were the second most in school history, while his 11 in 2003 are the fourth most.

INTERNATIONAL

• Gordon earned his first cap for the USA on October 12, 2012, coming on as a substitute in a 2014 World Cup qualifier at Antigua & Barbuba and assisting on the game-winning goal.
• He earned his only other cap to date in the 2015 Gold Cup, in the USA's semifinal loss to Jamaica.
